Wind
13 mph
Monday brings a welcome relief from yesterday's scorcher! Today's high of 86°F with lower humidity makes for much more comfortable beach conditions. The westerly breeze at 13 mph keeps things pleasant and creates nice little waves for wave-jumping and boogie boarding.
The Gulf remains bath-warm at 84°F—perfect for swimming, snorkeling, and paddleboarding. Monday typically sees smaller crowds as weekend visitors head home, meaning you'll have more space to spread out and fewer people in your photos. It's genuinely one of the better days to visit Siesta Beach.
🌧️ Evening Showers Possible
Classic Florida pattern today: beautiful morning and afternoon, then clouds build by evening with possible light showers around 9 PM. Won't affect daytime beach plans!
☀️ Sun Alert: UV Index 12 (Extreme)
Still extreme UV despite lower temps. SPF 50+ remains essential. The sun doesn't care that it feels nicer—protect yourself!
Mondays on Siesta Key have a different rhythm. The weekend crowds thin out, parking actually becomes manageable, and you can snag a spot at popular restaurants without the usual wait. It's the locals' secret: the island is at its most relaxed on Mondays.
New visitors arriving for their week's vacation will want to get their bearings today. Good news: the main beach lot tends to have availability throughout the day on Mondays. The Village shops are open (most 10 AM - 9 PM), and restaurants aren't slammed, making it ideal for an exploratory dinner.
If you're staying for the week, today is a great day to do a full island reconnaissance—hit the main beach, explore Crescent Beach and Point of Rocks, check out the Village, and scope out where you want to spend more time later in the week.
